been 30 years that Rising Sun Motors has had the distinct honor,
pleasure and privilege to have served the Beltsville, College
Park and surrounding communities. We thank everyone for their

HOURS
OF OPERATION
Vehicles received
between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Vehicles may
be picked up between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Technicians are
on duty between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and the following holidays: New
Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (and
the Friday after), and the week between Christmas and New Years.
NIGHT
DROPS
Night
drops are accepted. Please park your vehicle in front of the building.
Take a night drop envelope from the blue box next to the door
and fill it out completely, including your signature. Put your
key in the envelope and deposit in mail slot above the blue box.
BE SURE TO LOCK YOUR VEHICLE.
WHERE
DO I PARK MY CAR?
Please
park in front of the building or in the lot to the left of the
building. Please bring your key and the current mileage reading
from your speedometer (only if your car has been to us before)
into the building with you. Do Not park in front of a bay
door that is open or has a no parking sign on it.
APPOINTMENTS
We
prefer to work by appointment. We will schedule you for an appointment
on a day of your choice, where possible, and insure that your
vehicle will be inspected by one of the technicians on the day
you are scheduled. Appointments are made for the day. You may
wait while we service your vehicle but waiting can be a lengthy
process and is not recommended except for a simple oil change.

WHAT
IF I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT SERVICE
Please
contact a Service Advisor. If you don’t feel that you have gotten
a satisfactory answer…ask to speak to the shop foreman.
PARTS
We
maintain an extensive inventory of parts in our parts department.
However, no service facility, including a dealer can have every
part that your vehicle will need every time. We use only the best
quality parts on our customers vehicle and as often as not from
the Original Equipment Manufacturer (Dealer). Quality is our first
priority and the answer to keeping your vehicle as reliable as
it was designed to be.
WARRANTY
We
warranty all but a very few repairs and services for 12 months
or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first). Those items not covered
under the above warranty are usually covered under the 90 day
or 4,000 mile warranty. Contact our Service Advisor for specifics.
COURTESY
BUS
– A Free Service To You –
We
operate a courtesy bus twice daily on an as needed basis. The
bus will leave our establishment at approximately 8:15 a.m. to
take you to work or other destination within a five mile radius.
It then will pick up people in the afternoon between 4:30 and
5:15 p.m. Please ask about designated bus stops and possible stops
that may make it more convenient for you.

PAYMENT
Rising
Sun Motors accepts the following methods of payment:

PERSONAL CHECKS
– Preprinted with your name, and presentation of your driver’s
license for identification.
CREDIT CARDS
– We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.
OUR
FEE SCHEDULE
Fees
charged by Rising Sun Motors are in many cases lower than you
will find at a new car dealer. As well, will often be higher than
the general repair shop, gas station or mass merchandiser. We
are specialists on the Japanese/Korean built or designed vehicles.
We employ some of the finest professional Certified Master Automobile
Technicians in the Washington/Baltimore area. As well, we are
constantly training them on the latest technology and purchasing
the latest equipment to better serve your vehicles needs. We were
rated one of the best three repair facilities in the Washington
area (on a channel 5 talk show) by Robert Krughoff of the Washington
Consumer Checkbook Magazine. You can’t operate at such a high
level of expertise and quality and be the lowest priced. High
quality technicians won’t work for peanuts!! It is not feasible
to provide prices for the mileage services listed in this guide
since prices are constantly changing and there is a wide band
of prices on the different Japanese vehicles. Contact our service
advisor for specific prices on specific services and for the current
promotions and discounts.
AFTER
HOURS PICK UP
You
may pick up your car after we close by phoning in a credit card
number from one of the credit cards that we accept. After collecting
payment from the credit card we will lock your vehicle while on
our lot with the receipts and key in an envelope inside the vehicle.
You must have a key other than the one you gave us in order to
unlock your car. We will not leave a vehicle unlocked,
with the keys in it for pick up after we close, period.

Note: Our mileage
services’ are often more inclusive than what you will find in your owners
manual. In the recent past “Consumer Reports” started rating cars on cost
to maintain which drove manufacturers to cut out much of what once was in
the preventive maintenance schedules. We specialize in maintaining cars to
allow them to last a very long time. A means to that end is continue our proven
preventive maintenance schedule.
