Maryland State Inspection Process

- Doors—make sure all doors open and close from the inside and out
- Windows—driver’s side window needs to be operational, in the event that hand signals need to be used

- Lug nuts–check to make sure all lug nuts are present
- Lights-check to make sure all exterior lights work, including tag lights, brake lights, fog lights (if equipped), turn signals, head lights, etc, and that lenses are not broken
- Wipers—check wiper blade condition and make sure they can clear the windshield
- Mirrors—mirrors must be present and functional. Power mirrors must operate by switch in any direction.
- Seat operation—drivers seat needs to adjust/function as designed
- Rust-body panels can have no rust holes or jagged edges
- Hood-ensure hood opens easily and will latch securely
